Privacy Policy

Gaffer Odds Ltd (“GAFFER”, “we”, “us”) is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at vos@trygaffer.app for any privacy question or request.

Waitlist. When you join the waitlist we collect your email address.

Account and profile. If you create an account in the app, we may collect your name, email address, and date of birth, which we use to confirm you are 18 or over.

Content you provide. Bet slips and selections you create, and any photos, images, or voice or text inputs you submit so the app can read and price them.

Usage and device data. Information about how you use the service, along with device identifiers, notification tokens, and log data collected automatically when you use the app or website.

We use your data to provide and operate the service (to perform our contract with you); to confirm eligibility and meet our legal obligations; to send you waitlist and product updates where you have asked us to (with your consent); and to secure, maintain, and improve the service (our legitimate interests). You can withdraw consent to marketing at any time.

To turn a photo, voice note, or message into a priced selection, your input may be processed automatically, including by optical-character-recognition and artificial-intelligence providers acting on our behalf. This processing helps operate features you request; it does not make legally significant decisions about you.

We share personal data with service providers who process it on our behalf — such as hosting, email delivery, analytics, notification delivery, and the AI and OCR processing described above — under contracts that require them to protect it. We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights or the safety of others. We do not sell your personal data.

When you follow a link from GAFFER to a bookmaker, you leave our service and anything you do on the bookmaker's own app or website is governed by that bookmaker's privacy policy, not this one.

Some of our providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent, so your data keeps a comparable level of protection.

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them; account and app data are kept for the life of your account and for a reasonable period afterwards unless a longer period is required by law.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email vos@trygaffer.app. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), though we would welcome the chance to resolve any concern first.

GAFFER is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the last updated date above.
